M. Adnan Latief
M. Adnan Latief is Professor in the ELT program of English Department, Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). He specializes in curriculum and instruction and educational research. He has been a speaker in various workshops and academic forums in his areas of specializations as well as published books and articles on the topics. Prof. Adnan is also a senior assessor of the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT), Indonesia.

Eun Sung Park is Professor in the English Department at Sogang University, Seoul, Korea. Her research interests include second language input processing and the interface of theory and practice in language learning and teaching. Her recent work includes articles in Applied Linguistics, Language Awareness, Language and Intercultural Communication, Language Learning, and Language Teaching Research, among others. She also co-edited (with Bernard Spolsky) ‘English Education at the Tertiary Level in Asia: From Policy to Practice’ (2017, Routledge).

Jonathan Newton
Jonathan Newton has worked as a language teacher and teacher educator for more than 30 years, with wide experience of engaging with teachers from across Asia. He is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the Masters in TESOL & Applied Linguistics at the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies, Victoria University of Wellington. His scholarship spans task-based language teaching (TBLT), teaching listening and speaking, teaching vocabulary and teaching for intercultural competence. He has published more than 60 articles and book chapters and has co-authored three books, Teaching ESL/EFL Listening and Speaking (2009), Workplace Talk in Action: An ESOL Resource (2010), and Teaching English to Second Language Learners in Academic Contexts (2018). Faizah Abd. Majid
Dr. Faizah Abdul Majid is a Professor in Adult & Higher Education at the Faculty of Education, UiTM. She has received both international and national research grants and published in various indexed journals all within the areas of Adult & Higher Education, TESL and professional development. Besides training pre- and in-service teachers, Faizah serves as the Ministry of Education’s and the university’s master trainer in which she develops modules and facilitates the professional growth of fellow academics across the nation. In this regard, she concentrates on the scholarship of teaching and learning (SOTL).

  • Submit your abstract through the following link, iNELTAL 2019 abstract
  • Title should not exceed 15 words.
  • Abstract should not exceed 200 words.
  • Please consider the following questions before submitting your abstract.
    • Does the abstract reflect the theme of the conference?
    • Are the background, purpose, methods, and results clearly summarized?
    • Does the content to be shared in the presentation address issues that are important to Indonesian/EFL contexts?
    • Does the presentation add to what is currently known about the topic or area of focus?
    • Is the abstract well organized, coherent, and clearly written?
  • A 50-word bio should be provided for each presenter.
  • Deadline for abstract submission is 16 July 2019 (extended).
  • Notification of the abstract status will be sent out on 30 July 2019.
  • Presenters whose abstracts are accepted can send their full papers for possible publications in the following venues.
